St. Louis

I am so very proud of Jason. He had 2 written works, which were accepted to the Sigma Tau Delta conference held in St. Louis in March. Sigma Tau Delta is an English honor society, of which Jason is the president of at Dixie State College. It was quite an honor to be accepted to read not only one work, but two! Yeah!

First, Jason presented about technology's affects on language. It actually turned out to be a panel, which means 3 people present and discuss about one topic. So social networks (Facebook, blogs, etc) and language were discussed by all 3. Go team!

Jason's other presentation was a satire about the couple kissing on Temple Square and the security guard. He had the crowd rolling and really got into character. It's a great tongue-in-cheek piece.

Naturally, you can't travel and not go sight seeing. So, aside from presenting and watching presenters, Jason did just that. The hit of the trip was the St. Louis arch. What a wonderful piece of art!

The fantastic arch!

Fitting inside the small (5 passenger) elevator to the arch top.

A view from the arch.

Delicious fried pickles.
Jason's trying to get them recreated cuz they're so good.

Jason's favorite author from the trip. Made him laugh so much.

I'll let Jason post more photos later.
