Pine Valley Camping

Jason wanted a getaway campout for his birthday (August 8th), so we headed to Pine Valley. It was beautiful there. Good thing, too, since we took other people's advice in going there, not pre-viewing it. We were super lucky to have Jason's brother Jeremy, Brandon, cousin John, and Mom join in the celebration. (Sorry, I didn't take many pictures)

Pine Valley is good, ole fashioned camping with tents. We were lucky to be in the equestrian section, so Harrison had fun visiting the horses nearby.

We had the awesome treat of a lightening-thunder storm. It was above us all night long. Harrison only woke up because of a wet diaper, not the pounding thunder and rain. Poor Mom and John got rained out and headed back home. Good thing they came back for breakfast. To keep Harrison entertained, we let him play inside the car, which drained the batteries.

Harrison is obviously not used to long sleeves:)

Great Grandma Kendall

We were able to spend some time with Great Grandma Clara Kendall (Jason's Grandma). It was really nice, and especially with her brother, sister-in-law, and sister visiting as well. So, we took the opportunity to take pictures.

McCullough Family Trip 2010

.
Every year Elisha's family, the McCullough's, plan a weekend to spend together. The original plan this year was to go camping, but all the sites were taken up or not conducive for 2 babies. So, Mom and Dad (Grandma & Grandpa) wonderfully created a comfortable family trip close to home the end of July.

Our first day, Friday, was spent at the Roy City water park. This was SO much fun and super family friendly! We all had a blast, even the little guys. Definitely a fun way to spend a summer day.

Grandma gave this swimming suite/life vest to Harrison. Mommy liked it for the sun protection and bouncy, but Harrison hated the extra padding. It didn't last too long. Guess he's not ready for muscles.

Mr. Tucker (5months) enjoying the water. He tired out pretty fast.

Harrison headed out with Grandpa.

Putting on the sunblock.

Tucker and Zjani so happy to be in the sun.

After the water park and getting changed, we all drove up to Deer Valley - awww, coolness. We just enjoyed the rest of the evening in our fabulous cabin (sorry, no photo. See the Jackson's blog for more). Thanks to Zjani & Jer for dinner!

Saturday we played in Park City. The original plan was to ride the ever popular alpine slide, but we all decided to check out the coaster. This was way fun, as far as scenic, but a long wait in the sun. Also, it was easier to control, and I was not afraid of sliding off the track like on the alpine slide:) Same price, too.

We (Jason & Elisha) watched Tucker while everyone else went riding. Looks pretty excited, huh? How 'bout that cool hat?

A very frightened Jason.

Cool bridge, which Zjani, who hates bridges, didn't even remember. Go figure.

Whew! Elisha made it back!

A Park City trip would not be complete if we didn't head to Main Street. We never buy anything, but it's tradition.

Hmmm, the new family photo.

Thanks again, McCullough's, for a wonderfully lovely weekend:)

Nothing Says Summer Like...

.
New shoes and swimming!

Harrison finally received his first pair of shoes (sandals), which were a great deal! He acted like a horse getting shoed for the first time, walking with heavy feet. He likes them now, and knows shoes, either his or Mommy's and Daddy's, mean bye-bye.

Jason bought this pool last year for our own personal cool down, and now all 3 of us have had fun. The water's cold, so Harrison (and honestly none of us) like to sit all the way, but it's still a fun way to play!

All By Myself!

Harrison loves to help out around the house! It really can be so helpful at times, and others not as much. He's figuring it out:)

Helping Daddy baby (Harrison) proof the TV cabinets.

Harrison has also going up stairs, thanks to Grandma's & Grandpa's encouragement. He handles up better than down, but still a dare devil! Here he is at Uncle Jeremy's.

We're still working on proof (a video) of more of Harrison's genius. He can count to 3! We were reading a story, where the characters said, "1...2...3!" He said it, and has since. He just doesn't perform on camera.

Harrison has also become curiouser and smarter as he gets older. For instance, he now uses spoons and other long objects to push/pull other objects off counters and such. The other day he succeeded in getting the ball out of the computer mouse with his spatula. With a sweater hanging on the closet, Harrison also figured out how to open it up and get into trouble. Well, it wasn't real trouble, just into little baby things that we don't use anymore.

Adorable Additions

Thank you for bearing with us, as there have been no new posts all summer. Now that school has begun, and we're busy, new posts will happen again:)

The following has no real theme or reason. They're just some fun things Harrison did, and naturally we couldn't leave them undocumented.

Harrison still loves playing in his car. He's quite the dare devil. Since it's still so hot outside, he plays with the car inside. He loves to blow kisses (say mwah) and get in. It's also a great place to read a book and eat cereal!

Can you see the foot prints? These are Harrison's sweet feet, after standing in his crib, calling to get out. The floor was cleaned shortly afterward.

Remember the Pillsbury Dough Boy? Jason and Harrison love poking each other like that. Too cute!
