Funny Harrison

Almost 11 months, 21 pounds, and still our favorite boy!

He's got a beat and loves to dance. He and mom often dance together. Maybe there will be a future in it?

Harrison's hair is getting crazy long. Mom decided to comb it back, making it stick up. Harrison woke up that way, too. The babysitter kindly fixed it by the time mom got back. The "I Love Grandma" is what he's screaming. She'd most likely be feeding him his cereal, not taking pictures.

Harrison also loves hugs and giving kisses. His kisses are so darn cute - he licks our face:)
He's not picky about what food to eat, but lately isn't sure about pear juice.
Harrison isn't shy, just cautious about strangers. Luckily not so much that new babysitters and friends are accepted quickly.
He understands and signs milk, dad, hands-up, eat, diaper, more, bye-bye, pony, puppy, more, and thank you. I'm sure there are more than that.
Harrison says dada, mom, baba, uh-oh, uh-uh (meaning 'no' and 'all gone', and apps (apples) and is working on balloon.
Plus, he LOVES to smile and go on walks. We stop to see all the puppies and kitties on the way, or anything new.
Paper is fun to tear, even eat, when mom's not looking.

First Balloon

Every time we go to Harmon's, Harrison's eye is on the free balloons at the check stand. I haven't really wanted him to have one, but one of the nice managers decided it was time. It was decided that Harrison's favorite color is yellow, so that's the color of balloon he got.

Harrison LOVES this balloon! He played with it the rest of the evening after he got it. It was hard to take it away for bedtime, but I attached it to the door handle, and that seemed to suffice. This morning, when I went to rescue him, Harrison was talking to his balloon, now on the ground. He kept squirming, so I gave it to him in order to change his diaper. When it was time to eat his cereal, I put the balloon right next to him, but out of reach. He freaked. There was no consoling those big tears and wails. So, Harrison ate his cereal with his balloon. But, don't worry, he still has priorities. When it was time for the milk, the balloon went to the side. Know the funny thing? When he went to the babysitter's, she had a big purple balloon. You bet that was his friend today!

Easter and Family

What a wonderful Easter holiday! We were all able to go up north and spend time together with Elisha's family. Aunt Cathie, Uncle Arjen and their 2 boys, Mads and Petter from the Netherlands, are visiting, so it wasn't just a small family get together. The whole Jenson side was there! (We did miss Shea, Cat, and Skyler, though).

Sunday afternoon we had an Easter egg hunt. Little Tucker and Harrison thought it was too cold, but I think they enjoyed the goodies at the end. Harrison loves his little bunny. Thanks, Mom and Dad for the fun treats and movie!

Petter (right) is 15 months, but such a petite little boy. Harrison (left) enjoyed having another little boy his size to play with.

Harrison loves babies. He adores the dolls he finds and gives them loves. He is about 10 1/2 months old now, and his cousin, Tucker, is about 6 weeks. We, the mommies, thought it would be cute to get Harrison to hold Tucker. So sweet! Elisha had tears, naturally.

We can't wait until next year when Harrison gets to run around with Tucker finding nummy treats and eggs! What fun that will be:)

St. Louis

I am so very proud of Jason. He had 2 written works, which were accepted to the Sigma Tau Delta conference held in St. Louis in March. Sigma Tau Delta is an English honor society, of which Jason is the president of at Dixie State College. It was quite an honor to be accepted to read not only one work, but two! Yeah!

First, Jason presented about technology's affects on language. It actually turned out to be a panel, which means 3 people present and discuss about one topic. So social networks (Facebook, blogs, etc) and language were discussed by all 3. Go team!

Jason's other presentation was a satire about the couple kissing on Temple Square and the security guard. He had the crowd rolling and really got into character. It's a great tongue-in-cheek piece.

Naturally, you can't travel and not go sight seeing. So, aside from presenting and watching presenters, Jason did just that. The hit of the trip was the St. Louis arch. What a wonderful piece of art!

The fantastic arch!

Fitting inside the small (5 passenger) elevator to the arch top.

A view from the arch.

Delicious fried pickles.
Jason's trying to get them recreated cuz they're so good.

Jason's favorite author from the trip. Made him laugh so much.

I'll let Jason post more photos later.
