Thanksgiving 2011

We had our Thanksgiving celebration in Hurricane with Jason's family. Having family close makes dinner easier; we all brought some. Jason had to bring his pistachio salad!

Check out these adorable place settings tags made by our ever talented Jeremy (the turkey). Too cute!

Harrison having fun in a walker. Yeah, sometimes he's a bit silly. Dang he makes us happy!

Is this not so freakin' cute?! Brandon and Kendall. Jason insisted on this sweater since Harrison didn't get to wear it. Thanks to Shea for giving it back.

Drum roll....Kendall tasting 'real' food. Not a success.

Surprise to Aunt Lila

Jason's Great Aunt Lila Bosshardt celebrated her 80th birthday on October 29, 2011. We made the trip just for her. We all wondered how Lila was going to make the party since she's always traveling. Somehow she was convinced to stay longer in one place and made it to the Deaf Community Center in Taylorsville where the whole family hid out.

Have you ever had a surprise birthday party for a Deaf person? You have to be hidden rather than quiet. So fun! Lila was really surprised - she absolutely NO idea the party was planned. That made it all more enjoyable, and emotional.

The grand kids learned to sign happy birthday:

We were able to spend time with Grandma Clara Kendall, Jason's Grandma. We don't get to see her often, so this was a treat.

Pumpkins & Halloween

We had our annual pumpkin carving party, which is always so much fun! This year it was just family: Jeremy and Brandon and us.

Jason, continuing the Harry Potter theme

Elisha's best yet: a cat
So fun, Jeremy!
Evil pumpkin, Brandon!
The end result below. Harrison's is the vampire in the middle. Isn't he talented? Thanks Jeremy!

Ew! Pumpkin guts are gross!

Well, I guess they're not so bad.

We were so excited for our costumes this year! We did Harry Potter, and it was so awesome! Halloween day, Elisha got to work and go to school in costume!

Harry and Voldermort at it again! (yes, that's a real wand)

Now Bellatrix and Dobby in the mix

Jason and Jeremy took the boys to a car dealership who was doing a trunk or treat. The cars were in costume, too!

Harrison was thrilled to see Lightening McQueen!

We went trick or treating at the Kendall home in Hurricane. Harrison wasn't too interested and didn't get that we were getting treats. We have enjoyed them for him.

A funny pic with Harry wearing glasses and sunglasses.
