Yays and Woes

Going all the way back to Valentine's Day: Elisha had asked Jason who was in charge of the activities, and it turned out Elisha was volunteered. No worries, especially since poor Jason has to consider Valentine's Day and Elisha's birthday are both in February, plus their wedding anniversary in March. Elisha felt excited about deciding what to do for this fun day of love.

Jason loves the drive-in (watching movies on a gigantic screen in a car). Northern Utah has a few, but where's the one in St. George? It's not like it's not nice all year round. (We're willing to open one if anyone is interested in sponsoring). Jason had previously mentioned how fun it would be to create a drive-in experience. Elisha started her Valentine's planning there. Of course, finding a large screen, even a projector, would be a lot of work. What about a laptop? Or, as a great friend suggested, a portable DVD player? GREAT! Add in a delicious meal and great company and it's an awesome date!

We actually celebrated on Tuesday, the 16th, with work schedules and such in the way. Leaving Harrison with the sitter, we drove off to the Dixie hill, which overlooks St. George. Beautiful! Elisha had made lemon chicken in the slow cooker, and we watched (500) Days of Summer, which is not a love story, but cute. The date was fun, and isn't the point of Valentine's to show that special someone how much you love them?

Elisha's parents came down for her birthday, the weekend of the 25th. Elisha's sister had just had her baby:) and Elisha had flown up to north to visit, so it worked out well to ride back with the parents. A VERY nice thing they did was put up bead board along the cupboards that face the living area. It looks fantastic, and is very professional looking. We're loving it, and Elisha's itching to paint the rest of the kitchen. Thank you soooo much Mom and Dad!

Time for a Harrison update: He now weighs 20 pounds 8 ounces. How do we know? No, it wasn't his 9 month check-up. Our doctor's not that cool. (Can you believe he's 9 months?!) Harrison had had a runny nose on Monday, but no biggy. Tuesday morning he had a bit of a cough, so Elisha took him in to the doctor. (Wouldn't you know it ours was out, so we waited 2 hours for the on-call doc!) Turned out Harrison had a bit of tonsillitis and the beginning of an earache:( No one could tell, though, because he wasn't acting any different. Still his happy, squealy self, just with a cough and rosy cheeks. Antibiotics should fix it. It's his first time being actually sick.

Harrison has started to actually crawl. I blame Grandpa teaching him to crawl up on things. He gets about 4 'crawls' in, then decides it's too much work, so does the army crawl. He's just so very busy. Harrison also loves to clap, now. He'll even blow kisses. He's growing too fast! What a cutie he is, and we love that he's ours:)
