Please Help

Hello friends and family,

We want to notify you of an important occurrence that can and may affect all of us. The Southern Utah Services to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing is in trouble of losing many of its services. People can go to the office (1067 E. Tabernacle #10, St. George) to learn sign language, learn about hard of hearing classes and devices, practice interpreting and signing, and attend many educational classes. Many who are deaf, becoming deaf, and hard of hearing, along with their families, use the services. It is the ONLY place in Southern Utah that offers help and support to those feeling lost and those wanting to learn.
With the economy going down, the state has had to cut funds. The Deaf & Hard of Hearing offices in Southern Utah and Taylorsville have already cut many positions, and have to cut more. The Southern Utah office is small, with only 3 employees.
We are pleading with you to write to your state and city senator and representatives (by Jan 22) to not cut services provided by this important department. So many benefit from it and others would become lost without it.
For a list of senators & reps look on-line, or:

Rep. David Clark (1831 Red Mountain, Santa Clara, UT 84765)
Rep. Bradley G. Last (640 E. 700 S. Ste 303, St. George, UT 84770)

Remember, only personal stationary IE: no business letterhead
You can also email them.

Thank you so much, and let's make sure we can keep these services for everyone for a VERY long time!
