Day 2 of the family 'camping' trip was certainly entertaining! Shea and Zjani decided to plan their activity together. They gave everyone a couple hours, saying there would be a face painting contest. Each group had to paint one child, or person in Mom, Dad, and Christian's group.
Kendall started out as a lion, but he | | was too wriggly for Jason. He also enjoyed eating the, thankfully, non-toxic paint. |
We begged Harrison to get his face painted. He was adamant about not having any paint touch him. Then Elisha asked, "What if we paint your arm?" Oh, he loved that idea! When asked what we could paint: "An orange rectangle." After he joined in the painting, well, the above is what came out. |
Alex wanted to paint Shea's face, too! |
Shea and Cat had the idea to paint Alex as a pirate. But, as seen below, Tucker was one! So, they quickly changed him into a biker. Looked awesome! |
Pirate Tucker. Arrr! |
Christian giving Mom a facial. Nope! Painting a butterfly. |
Her eyes are actually closed! Yeah, they won the contest. |
Grandma had a super fun bug hunt with the grandkids. They thought it was the funnest. She gave each one a bag with gummy bugs, which look too real, and bug catching gear. There were bugs, gummy and finger puppets, for the kids to 'catch.'

Zjani's NOT a bug person, so it was fun to see her give Tucker his bugs. We even sang The Eesny Weensy Spider for her. |
All the kids loved the trampoline. Here's Harrison sneaking in a last moment. |
Kendall thought the trampoline was hilarious. |
Crazy static hair! |
Being together as a family, even for just a short period, was wonderful. We always appreciate our parents doing this for us. Family's what it's all about!
