Jason's Great Aunt Lila Bosshardt celebrated her 80th birthday on October 29, 2011. We made the trip just for her. We all wondered how Lila was going to make the party since she's always traveling. Somehow she was convinced to stay longer in one place and made it to the Deaf Community Center in Taylorsville where the whole family hid out. Have you ever had a surprise birthday party for a Deaf person? You have to be hidden rather than quiet. So fun! Lila was really surprised - she absolutely NO idea the party was planned. That made it all more enjoyable, and emotional.
The grand kids learned to sign happy birthday:
We were able to spend time with Grandma Clara Kendall, Jason's Grandma. We don't get to see her often, so this was a treat.
