It's that time of the week again. We have just started the 17th week. I still don't see anything. People keep saying that it'll be like one day it's just there. I guess keeping a weekly update is kinda like the old "a watched pot never boils" thing.
I have said that I want her to start showing so that I can feel like something is actually happening. Well, next week the biggest event during the pregnancy that includes me is going to happen: We get to go to the Ultrasound where we find out the gender. The thing is, though, we're not sure if we want to find out. I'm certainly leaning toward it. Like I said, it'll be something that helps me feel that this is all real. Elisha is undecided, and of course, this is something we have to agree on.
I've heard good arguments for and against. By the way, "So you can be prepared," is not a good argument. From what I've observed I don't think you can ever be fully prepared to have your first baby.
Let us know what you think. Maybe we'll just do whatever the majority of you all think. If you don't share your opinion, you won't have anyone but yourself to blame when you don't know what color of clothes to buy our baby for Christmas.

Elisha, you are so cute! I hope you are enjoying all of the attention Jason is showering on you because I think it is awesome. You should totally do a complete profile pic from now on. That way you don't even have to look at the camera if you don't want to.
Green and yellow are really good neutral colors for babies that you don't know that gender, so if you decide that you're going to wait then I'm going to get one or both of those colors for you. ;) If it was me then I would want to know. The anticipation would kill me and another good thing is naming. You can say that you have two names picked out when it's a boy or girl, but you can start calling it by one of those names if you know and may decide, later on, that a different name might suit the baby, and you, better. That's just me though. I'm way excited for you guys. Your baby is going to be beautiful.
My thoughts on the not finding out what it is are this.... If you already have one of each, then it would be fine beacuse then you have baby girl and boy stuff already. But it is hard enough to be prepered for your first baby let alone not knowing the sex. So my advice is find out, and maybe save suprises for later.
