Random Fun

Don't ever leave your homework out with a pen accessible to a rolling baby. He will 'eat' it.

Aw, Harrison's growing so big! Yep, works at Harmon's with Daddy.

At the Harmon's store party, they had awesome face painting. When you have a blank palette, the options are endless!

An angry Harrison. He was flipping out over something ridiculous.

Kendall's 6 month

Kendall's getting SO big! Another kid who won't listen when told to stay little. At least he is paying attention and staying cute. For instance, he either has a Cabbage Patch baby smile or is sticking his tongue out, as shown below. The first day he discovered his tongue, he just sucked on it - too cute! And talented!

Monday, October 4, 2011 Kendall had his 6 month appointment. Stats are as follows:
  • 15.3 lbs (41%)
  • 26" long (81%)
  • Head 92% (and people wonder why a c-section was necessary!)
Sunday, October 3 seemed a good time to give Kendall his first baby food (we had started cereal a couple weeks prior and he gobbled it up). Here's what happened with the first baby food (sweet potatoes):

He loved them! When he eats, Kendall keeps saying, "mmmmm". Reminds Elisha of her MTC comp who would do that during meals. Hey, good food is good food!

Kendall loves to laugh and is even rolling over and scooting to get where and what he wants. Harrison is not appreciating his toys disappearing so much. He has 2 bottom teeth, which are so darn cute when he smiles! Unfortunately the red hair seems to be fading. He says "dadada" a lot. We're hoping to get "mamama". But, it's fun to say, "He wants you, Jason!"

Harmon's Bagger Champ!

Someone needs to brag, and it's going to be Elisha. Jason can fill in the extra details.

Jason is an awesome bagger! Are you? You could find out if you ever competed in the bagger competition! What? You didn't know that existed? Hum. Here's how it goes down: a store, such as wonderful Harmon's, will have a competition compiling of baggers and checkers. The goal is to bag 2 bags of specific groceries under 40 seconds (really 40's bad). At Jason's store, he won 1st place! He was the fastest bagger (even though he's a checker)!

Winning in your own store means you go to the company competition. So, the top 2 baggers, that's Jason, flew to SLC to see who would be deemed the best in the company. He didn't get 10th, or 8th, or 5th. He didn't get 3rd, but he did earn second! Amazing! Jason was especially pleased because he got as far as this competition, but that was it.

The top 2 in the company (And the funny thing, both were from the St. George store!) go to the state competition, which included all Associated Goods such as Macy's, Albertson's, etc. Jason really did awesome! They don't mention what place you earned after the top 3 are announced, but Jason was in the top 5. I say he won 4th. Those in the top 3 continue onto national's, then that winner goes onto the David Letterman Show!

Jason, you're fantastic and I think it's so fun! Another great poster to hang up and smile at us:)

On your mark, get set, GO!

Going!

Interview with Randy, and waiting to hear what's the score.

Tada! The trophies, shaped like paper grocery bags. Complete with cash prizes, too!

HiLaRiOuS

It's true: Kendall adores Harrison. When Harrison laughs, it makes Kendall laugh harder. We've been trying to document how much Kendall laughs with Harrison. Well, enjoy! We were laughing so hard, we had tears!

Kendall's 4 Months!

Kendall had his 4 month check up on Monday, August 8 (Jason's birthday). He's growing too fast and so incredibly sweet. Here are the stats:

Weight: 15.3 lbs (in the 41%)

Length: 26" (in the 81%)

Head circumference: in the 92%

Just a day or so before we found that Kendall had cut his first tooth! Yesterday, Jason found another! Now he has his 2 bottom teeth. It's so cute, but we weren't ready for this stage, yet. We even felt shocked when the doctor said Kendall could start with cereal now. Whoa!

Chopped

So, Elisha decided to chop her hair. No, she's not pregnant. Just wanted a change and to not look like her high school students. Which is funny, because the hair dresser asked if she was excited to go back to high school, thinking Elisha was a student. It's fun to do something different, but the long will be back soon, especially since staying consistent is not on the priority list.

Big Bear McCullough Trip

Every year the McCullough family (Elisha's side) go 'camping.' Notice the " 's? That's because our roughing it includes making meals for each other and staying in the mountains, but in a rain-proof building. This year we all made the trip to Big Bear, California. (That's 2 parents, 3 kids with spouses, 5 grand babies under age 2, and a cute 17-year old little brother). If you haven't been to Big Bear - go! It's nice and cool, with a simple, laid-back feel. Just know there are switchback roads to get there.

Because of all the baby's naps, we didn't leave the cabin too much, but that was just fine. We all just hung out and caught up. Funny how some things are better conversed about in person than over the phone.

The first day, Friday, we went to the zoo. It was a sad place for animals. Hopefully the new one is roomier for the animals. The bears, we decided, were digging a hole to get under the fence and escape. Smart bears!

Thank goodness for the double stroller in the zoo!

Saturday we roamed the shops, which has become somewhat of a tradition, even though we don't have big bucks to spend. Ice cream and souvenir t-shirts are the extent of our purchases, but it's fun.

Harrison got his first candy necklace at one of the shops. Yep, he liked it! (see it on his face and neck?)

Each family was supposed to bring a game. This was FaNtAsTiC! Shea brought Quelf. Have you played it? If not, you're missing out. But, like Shea said, you have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone and want to have fun. It was long with all 9 of us playing, but we had a blast! Elisha did not want anyone to roll a 4, otherwise she'd have to moan like a weeping tree and hum a sad song, but it was fun.

Of course, we played Werewolves of Miller Crossing. Haven't played? Call us! Jason loves to narrate and is open for business.

Zjani brought her Wii and we had a Dance Off! The evidence is incriminating - hil-ar-i-ous! (Sorry for the point of view. I was sitting in the back). Boy I wish I had my Wii back now! It was a fun and fulfilling workout, too!

Here's what trouble the kiddies got into:

Of course, with 4 little boys boys, play time was fun. Kendall and Emma are too little to interact, but here's Harrison, Tucker, and Alex having a great time.

Harrison wanted to play with Bear in Alex's toy. Good times!

Emma let Kendall try on her bow. Isn't he adorable?

Eating Jason's birthday cake:)

Kendall and Emma loved talking to each other. Emma's a bit bossy and made Kendall cry, but I think they'll play nice when they get bigger.

Harrison had a little matchbox car he kept throwing up in the air. Shea got to playing, throwing the car up to the sky, but it would go up so high, it took awhile for it to come back down. HA! Harrison loved this game. Seriously, more than 30-45 minutes playing this!

Thanks to Mom and Dad for making this trip possible and ALWAYS making sure we stay tight.
We sure look forward to this every year and can't wait for next year!
